An unaired, unedited interview scene from the Living with Michael Jackson, two-part documentary has recently come to light. The single shot, at a length of 3 minutes and 30 seconds, can be found on Youtube. Filmed by Hamid Moslehi, the footage features Michael Jackson offering various answers to journalist Martin Bashir's repeated question of whether Jackson is truly "happy".

The question is raised by Bashir, who was filming one of the last interview segments with Jackson in Miami during January 2003. Bashir had begun filming the documentary in May 2002 at Jackson's Neverland Ranch and over the course of eight months had accompanied Jackson in Las Vegas, Berlin and Britain.
In the lost footage, Bashir states over the past eight months, he believes Jackson, lives an "isolated" existence. Jackson somewhat agrees with Bashir, but claims nevertheless he is "happy" while laughing and smiling. Somewhat underwhelmed with Jackson's answer, Bashir states Jackson is "happy," because he is currently the center of attention and performing for the camera.
